From today in the hill country, north hinterland, coast, Bangalore part. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thundershowers till 6. There is a possibility of moderate rain in Bengaluru today, sometimes torrential rain with thunder and lightning.

Yellow alert has been announced in Tumkur, Ramanagara, Bangalore City, Bangalore Rural, Chikkaballapur, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chamarajanagar, Kolar, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in the south hinterland of Karnataka today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain warning for the next 4 days as the Northeast Monsoon approaches the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Yellow alert has been announced in many places including Chennai in Tamil Nadu today.

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh, several states of South India will experience heavy rain today. Not only Chennai but neighboring districts like Thiruvalluvar, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu districts are also predicted to receive heavy rains for the next few days.
