Heavy Rain alert in Karnataka for next 3 hours

Heavy rainfall will occur over the state for the next 3 hours. The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast to the District Collectors of 20 districts to take precautionary measures regarding the damage that may be caused by rain. Heavy Rain alert in Karnataka for next 3 hours.

According to the information released by the India Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain alert in the state for the next 3 hours. There will be rain with wind, thunder, lightning and lightning. It said that the wind will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph. District Collectors of 20 districts have been instructed to take precautionary measures regarding the impending disasters due to heavy rains.

DCs of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Mysuru, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, Raichur, Kalaburgi, Bidar and Koppal districts have been informed to take appropriate precautionary measures.

On Thursday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Intense rainfall activity will continue over three southern states Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka for the next 3 days following which, the rains are likely to reduce. IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in these Southern states till Monday. Further, the weather agency has issued a red alert for 8 Kerala districts and an orange alert for the rest of the state.
