The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme in Karnataka, recently launched by the state government, is a significant step towards gender equality and women’s empowerment. Designed to improve the lives of homemakers, landless women, and agricultural workers, the scheme’s Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode ensures that the Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, will begin receiving the Rs. 2,000 payments from August 16th, directly facilitating their transfer to the beneficiary’s bank accounts.

Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Eligibility:

1. The scheme is open to women from Antyodaya, BPL, and APL households.

2. Beneficiaries are those recognized as family heads on Antyodaya, BPL, and APL ration cards issued by the Government.

3. Women must be the head of their families.

4. Only one woman per family can avail of the scheme’s benefits.

5. Women and their husbands should not be paying income tax.

6. Women who are government employees are not eligible.

7. Applicants must be residents of Karnataka and possess proper documents.

How to Apply For Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka

Apply Online Application:

1. Go to sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in, the official Seva Sindhu website.

2. Find and select the “Gruha Lakshmi” option.

3. Complete the online application form by providing the necessary information.

4. Upload important documents like an Aadhaar card, ration card, and bank details.

5. Double-check the entered details and then submit the application.

6. Keep the application reference number for tracking in the future.

One of the guaranteed schemes of the state government, the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme has finally been fixed for implementation. Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister of Women and Child Welfare, has informed about this.

Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, speaking to reporters at Vikas Soudha, said that the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme will be launched in Belgavi on August 27. Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge are being invited to the event. He said that the project will be launched simultaneously in 11 thousand places of the state.
