The Karnataka government has recently issued guidelines for availing of free electricity under the Gruha Jyothi Scheme. To benefit from this scheme and receive up to 200 units of free power, individuals must now register on the Seva Sindhu website. Gruha Jyoti scheme: only this one documents enough to apply.

The energy department has clarified that it is enough for the beneficiaries to link the Aadhaar number on the Seva Sindhu portal to get the facility under the Gruha Jyoti Yojana, an ambitious scheme of the state government.

If the electricity user is a tenant under Gruha jyoti Yojana. This facility can be availed by linking the Aadhaar number with the residential address at Seva Sindhu portal https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in and registering.

The state government will launch the registration of beneficiaries under the Gruha Jyoti Yojana on June 18. Under this scheme, each house in the state will have a maximum consumption limit of 200 units per month, subject to a maximum consumption limit of 10% on the monthly average consumption (on the basis of consumption of the financial year 2022-23) units of each consumer are eligible.

Eligible beneficiaries can also register through software on mobile phone/ computer and laptop. Bangalore One, Gram One and Karnataka One can also be registered at Kendra or any electricity offices. For more information one can call Electricity Office or 24×7 Helpline 1912.
