The countdown to the official launch of Gruha Jyoti Yojana has begun. Free current bill will come from August 1 Tuesday. Zero bills will come only for those who have registered in the month of July. Even though there is no deadline to apply for the ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme which assures free electricity upto 200 units, the consumers who do not register themselves for the scheme before July 25 will not be getting the benefits for this month.

If they apply after the date, they will be considered in the August cycle. If the consumers want to enjoy the benefits of the ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme for the July bill cycle, they will have to register themselves for it before July 25. Only those who have applied till July 25 will get Griha Jyoti benefit, those who have registered after July 25 will not get free bill in the month of August.

So far 1,18,50,474 beneficiaries have applied for Griha Jyoti. Only 60 percent of the two and a half crore beneficiaries have applied. Still 40% people are yet to apply. Those who apply after July 25 will get September bill free.

– To apply for the Karnataka Gruha Jyothi Scheme, visit the Seva Sindhu portal’s official website at https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov/.

– Check the website and click the “Gruha Jyothi Scheme Registration Link” link.

– There should be an application form on a new screen that appears. Fill in the applicable sections with your contact information, postal address, and any requested information.

– Now, upload the necessary paperwork, such as an identity card, an electricity bill, a proof of residency, or anything else specified in the application.

– Check the information on the application form one more, then press the “Submit” button.

– Remember to record the application number for future use.

– You must now wait and give the relevant authorities enough time to assess your application and any relevant data.

The Karnataka Gruha Jyothi Scheme requires the following papers, among others:

– Aadhar Card

– Proof of Permanent Residence in Karnataka State

– Electricity Bill

– Mobile Number

– Email ID

– Passport Size Photograph

– Karnataka citizens are the only ones who may access the scheme.

– The scheme is open to any household with a current electricity connection.

– No of their caste residents who consume 200 units or less of power each month are eligible to sign up for the project.

– Applicants must have an active home electricity connection in their name in order to be eligible for the rewards.
