Gruha Jyoti on August 1, Gruha Lakshmi Yojana start on August 17-18: CM Siddaramaiah

Among the guaranteed schemes announced by the state government, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that preparations are being made to launch Gruha Jyoti Yojana on August 1 and Gruha Lakshmi Yojana on August 17-18.

He held a long meeting with senior government officials today regarding Gruha Jyoti Yojana and Gruha Lakshmi Yojana. The application process for all guarantee schemes should be made very simple. The Chief Minister instructed the officers not to ask for unnecessary information and documents.

Also if applications are rejected, it should be reasonable. He gave a clear warning that they cannot be rejected on the pretext of lameness. Due to the large number of applications submitted in all the guarantee schemes, Seva Sindhu directed the officials of the e-Governance Department to increase the capacity of the portal in accordance with the huge amount of data submission.

We are thinking of launching Gruha Jyoti Yojana on August 1 in Kalaburagi. He instructed the officials to remove all the confusions about the guidelines of this scheme and make the citizens aware. Registration for Grjuha Jyoti Yojana is available through Seva Sindhu Portal.

In addition, help desks will be set up in all offices of ESCOM. The registration process will start from June 15. An opportunity will be given to apply through Bengaluru One, Karnataka One, Gram One centers and at home through computer or mobile app.

New house, new renter will be given free electricity facility based on the average electricity consumption of the state. The chief minister said that once the average of one year is available, based on this data, free power will be provided.

Payment of old electricity bill arrears has been allowed to pay till September 30. Aadhaar, R. R. No, tenants can get the facility by submitting the agreement letter and voter identity card information of the same address.

The launch of Gruha Lakshmi Yojana on August 17 or 18 in Belgavi. The application process will start from June 15. This scheme can be applied online through Seva Sindhu portal. Similarly, you can apply in home. It was decided to set up separate counters for this.

Applicants should provide Ration Card Number, Aadhaar Card Number of wife and husband, bank account details with Aadhaar combination. Copies of these documents can also be submitted with offline applications. The assistance amount will be deposited directly into the bank account of the eligible beneficiaries through DBT.

This facility will also be available to APL card holders who are not tax payers. In the meeting, Energy Minister K.J. George, Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Chief Secretary to the Government Vandita Sharma, Deputy Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Rajneesh Goyal, Energy Department Deputy Chief Secretary Gaurav Gupta.

Women and Child Welfare Department Secretary Dr.N. Manjula, Revenue Department Secretary Rajender Kumar Katharia, Chief Minister’s Secretary N. Jayaram, Finance Department Secretary PC Jafar, E-Governance Department Director Meena Nagaraj and other senior officials attended the meeting.
