The technical advisory committee headed by Dr. Ravi also held a meeting and gave some suggestions. The committee has suggested that masks should be made mandatory for those above 60 years of age and those with heart-related diseases and respiratory problems.

Minister Dinesh Gundurao said that guidelines will be issued by the health department today based on the recommendations of the committee. Health department officials have been instructed to do more testing. All hospitals in the state have been instructed to be on alert.

All the District Health Officers have been informed to keep the required bed, PPE kit, ignition ready. He said that extra precautions have been taken in Kerala border districts. Those who have cold, fever and cough should get tested for Corona. Only if more positive comes, it will be necessary to take strict measures in public places. Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao said that there is no such situation at present and no one needs to worry.
