Minister K. Sudhakar will hold a emergency meeting with the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee today at 3 pm. In the wake of the Covid-19 positivity rate in the state rising to over 2 per cent, K. Sudhakar will hold a meeting on early warning measures.

In Bengaluru 429 covid-19 positive cases found in single day. In Bellary, Chitradurga, Gadag, Hassan and Raichur districts found one case each. 463 covid-19 cases confirmed in state yesterday in 24 hours, including Uttar Kannada district 06, Udupi 03, Dharwad 04 and Davanagere 02 positive cases found.

Thus the number of infected people has increased to 3656334. Of these, 3912575 have been discharged so far, including 199 today. As of now, there are 3651 active infections in the state. Karnataka has reported 463 fresh cases of Covid-19 at a slighter higher positivity rate in spite of doing fewer tests, according to the health bulletin.

The positivity rate for Saturday stood at 2.15%. Bengaluru continues to lead the graph as the city saw 429 cases out of the 16,845 samples tested. The positivity rate stood at 2.61%. There were no fresh deaths during the said period.
