Bengaluru will face power cuts on Monday and Tuesday. These areas to face power cut on Monday and Tuesday from 10am to 5pm in several areas under the Jayanagar division due to the routine maintenance work by Bescom.

Bescom The areas to be affected are: Vinayakanagar, Wilson Garden, Biksipura, Mango Graden, Prathima Industrial layout, Kashinagar Lake, ISRO Layout, Kumaraswamy Layout, Pipeline Road, parts of JP Nagar, Sarakki Market, Puttenahalli Main Road, Teachers Colony, Jyothi Layout, Dollars Layout and others.

Karnataka on Saturday logged 1,033 fresh Covid-19 cases amid the Omicron threat. Five deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 38,340. Of the new cases, 810 were from Bengaluru Urban alone and the city saw 218 discharges and two deaths. The positivity rate for the day stood at 0.86 per cent. There were 354 discharges today, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,60,615, a health department bulletin said.

From January 1 onwards, commercial gas cylinders in Kolkata will now cost Rs 2,074.5. Similarly, the latest price of commercial gas 19 kg cylinder in Mumbai is Rs 1,951. Moreover, the 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Chennai will now sell at Rs 2,134.50.
