Among the five schemes, Anna Bhagya Yojana is not a new scheme. This is a project that was started about ten years ago. The ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme was implemented in the state from July 2013 by the CM Siddaramaiah. After the implementation of this scheme, the amount of ration distributed to each BPL family under the public distribution system has been increased.

Before 2013, a BPL family member got at least 4 kg of rice and 1 kg of wheat. A maximum of 20 kg of rice and 3 kg of wheat was distributed to a family like G wheat. But under this Anna Bhagya Yojana from 2015 eligible BPL single member families will get 10 kg, two member families will get 20 kg, 3 and more members will get 30 kg.
