Yuvraj Singh Slams Shubman Gill: Take your hands out of pocket, you are playing for India not a club

The Indian cricket team registered its first win of the 2020-21 Australian tour in the third ODI in Canberra last evening. Shubman Gill played his first international match after a long time, and the youngster impressed with a 39-ball 33.

However, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was seemingly unhappy with the way Gill put his hands in his pockets during a moment in the second innings. After India’s victory in the third ODI, several players from Team India have expressed their happiness on Instagram.

Shubman Gill was one of them. Gill, the star batsman who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, shared two pictures of the match in Canberra on his Instagram account. In the first picture, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli (56) are standing on the pitch while in the second photo, Gill is waiting for the decision of the third umpire with his teammates.

Yuvraj Singh praised Shubman Gill’s partnership with Indian skipper Virat Kohli, but at the same time gave the youngsters a look at the upcoming tour of Australia.
Gill wrote with the film that playing for the country was a great experience.

In response, Yuvraj wrote, “Maharaj Jeb Vicho Hath Kado, India da Maccha Chalai High Club Dr No (Sir, please get your hand out of your pocket, you are playing for India and not for any local club).”

Shubman Gill and Yuvraj Singh are Punjabi cricketers, so they are very close to each other. Yuvraj spent some time with Gill during practice sessions on the field this year and announced that he would play for Punjab in T20 cricket.
