Mumbai (March 10): RCB are left behind in the play-off race of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) after losing 3 matches in a row. UP will face Warriors in the make or break match. Smriti Mandhana’s team is looking for their first win in the tournament and if they lose this match too, they will almost be out of the play-off race. WPL 2023: RCB vs UPW: Do or die match to RCB today against UP Warriors.

In all the three matches played by RCB, although they gave an average performance in batting, they showed a very poor performance in bowling and fielding. Against Delhi and Gujarat, they conceded 200+ runs each, while against Mumbai they conceded 159 runs in 14.2 overs. If they do not find a solution to the bowling problem in this match too, they will face another defeat. On the other hand, UP is on the verge of 2nd win.

RCB lost by 60 runs against Delhi Capitals in the first match. After this, RCB suffered a crushing defeat by 9 wickets against Mumbai Indians in the second match. Gujarat put up a strong fight against the giants, but suffered a hat-trick defeat in a thrilling 11-run defeat.

In the last match for the RCB team, there was an organized performance in the batting department. RCB Captain, Smriti Mandhana, failed to convert her good start into big totals. Opening batsman Sophie Devine scored an impressive half-century in the last match. Elise Perry and Heather Knight also batted briskly. But the team’s bowling has been very expensive in the last three matches.

RCB’s Alycee Perry, Preity Bose and Meghan Shute are also becoming quite expensive, which has increased the team’s headache. Only if the bowlers perform responsibly, UP Warriors can register their first win.
