But before that, it should be clear that the Pakistan team is coming to India to play the World Cup. Because Pakistan team has not got any permission from Pakistan government to come to India. So the Pakistan team is waiting for the government’s decision. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the Pakistan government has put forward a new condition to the ICC that they will send the Pakistan team to play the World Cup in India as soon as they get a written assurance from the ICC.

In fact, the Pakistan government has formed a committee to decide whether to send the Pakistan team to India to play the World Cup or not. It is reported that the committee held a meeting recently and decided to send the Pakistan team to India only if they get a written guarantee from the ICC to provide full security to the team.

The ODI World Cup will start in India from October 5. But the Pakistan Cricket Board has been reluctant to participate in it for the past few months. Especially after the BCCI refused to send the Indian team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the Pakistani board has started to adopt a stubborn attitude towards the World Cup.

Pakistan wants guarantee from ICC:

However, after meeting ICC officials in June, Pakistan softened its stance on the matter. The Pakistan board had stated that the team will be sent to India if the government gives permission. Then, just last week, the Pakistan government set up a special committee headed by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to make recommendations on the matter.

It is reported that after the same committee held a meeting on Wednesday, it was decided to get a written guarantee from the ICC for the security of the Pakistan team, and only after that they decided to give permission to send the team. Also, it is reported that Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf will soon present this clause of the special committee before the ICC, and if such a guarantee is received from the ICC, the Pakistan government will also get a green signal to send the team to India.
