Tokyo Paralympics: Sumit Antil wins gold, creates world record in javelin throw F64 event

Avani Lekhara clinched gold and equalled the World Record in the Women’s R2 10m air rifle standing SH1. Vinod Kumar on Monday lost his F52 category bronze medal at the Paralympics here after being found ineligible in disability classification assessment by the competition panel. 

Yogesh Kathuniya bagged silver in the Men’s Discus Throw F56 event. Devendra Jhajharia won silver as Sundar Singh Gurjar bagged bronze in the Men’s Javelin Throw F46 Final. Javelin Throwers Sumit Antil and Sandeep Choudhary will also be in action in the Men’s F64.

Mahavir Swaroop Unhalkar missed out on bronze as he finished fourth in the men’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 as Deepak Saini finished 20th in qualification.
