Team India New Coach: This veteran took charge instead of Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid’s contract will expire after the World Cup 2023 on Indian soil in October and November 2023 this year, but the BCCI has already selected the new head coach of Team India.

Even before the exit of Rahul Dravid, BCCI has started preparing for the future by appointing experienced players as the head coach. During Ravi Shastri’s time, BCCI tried Rahul Dravid as a coach for Team India in minor cricket series; similarly VVS Laxman is being given the responsibility of Team India while Rahul Dravid in major series.

BCCI is preparing for the future by making VVS Laxman as coach of Team India. Immediately after the cricket series against West Indies, India is scheduled to tour Ireland from August 18 to August 23. A three-match T20 series is to be played there. BCCI has appointed VVS Laxman as the coach of Team India for this series.

India has to play all three matches of the T20 series against Ireland in Dublin. According to a Cricbuzz report, VVS Laxman will be the head coach of India for the T20I series against Ireland. Head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathore, bowling coach Paras Mambre will be rested before the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and 2023 World Cup.

In such a situation, VVS Laxman has been appointed as the head coach of Team India for the T20 series against Ireland. In early 2022, in Rahul Dravid’s absence, VVS Laxman will be seen as the head coach for the tour of Ireland and New Zealand. Since Rahul Dravid took over as head coach from Ravi Shastri in November 2021, the Indian team lost to England in the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup.

India lost the Test and ODI series in South Africa. Moreover, the 2022 T20 Asia Cup did not reach the final and the Indian team had to face defeat against England in the fifth Test in Birmingham in 2022. After losing the fifth Test in Birmingham, India missed out on winning a Test series in England for the first time since 2007.
