T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant opener, KL Rahul out

The countdown to the start of the T20 World Cup has begun. Most of the teams have already landed in Australia. In particular, Team India, which left four days ago, is now playing a practice match. T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant opener, KL Rahul out.

In its first warm-up match, Team India played against Western Australia XI (IND vs WAXI), and in this match, the Indian team made a significant change. It is surprising that it is also in the opening pair. That means, with only a few days left for the T20 World Cup, Team India has started experimenting with Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant.

It is clear that Team India has turned to the right-left-hand combination here. But the question arises as to what is the story of another opener, KL Rahul. Because before the start of T20 World Cup, Team India will play four warm-up matches. A strong playing eleven should be formed through these warm-up matches.

But what is the purpose of bringing Rishabh Pant into the field before the important tour instead of KL Rahul, who has played as a opener so far, is now a matter of discussion. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were rested during the last T20 match against South Africa, have also been ruled out of the first warm-up match.

Hence, Rishabh Pant has been fielded as the opener. But with few days left for the T20 World Cup, the reason for the surprise is that the starting pair is being changed and experimented with. If Rishabh Pant shines in the warm-up matches, a question arises as to which position KL Rahul will play.

Because Team India has fixed the batting line-up through Australia and South Africa series. Accordingly, if KL Rahul-Rohit Sharma plays as opener, the 3rd and 4th order can be said to be a fix for Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

If Hardik Pandya comes in at number 5, all-rounder Axar Patel can play at number 6. Dinesh Karthik will bat at number 7 as a finisher. Team India can play Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and another pacer as bowlers. Rishabh Pant will have to stay out of this.

But now if Rishabh Pant wants to start as opener, KL Rahul may have to leave the team. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant, who got a chance to start as a opener in the warm-up match, got out after scoring only 9 runs.
