T20 World Cup 2022: AUS vs NZ playing XI, timing, squad

Australia take on New Zealand in the first Super 12 match on October 22 from Group 1. It is the 13th match overall in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The defending champions haven’t had a great build-up to the tournament this year as they lost a couple of series against England and India and won one against West Indies. New Zealand, on the other hand, won most of their T20 bilaterals in the build-up; however, their record playing in Australia isn’t that great. Whether it’s T20I, ODIs or Tests, New Zealand haven’t been able to crack the code of playing in Australia and suffering a 9-wicket hammering against South Africa in the warm-up game was another indication of the same.

A contest against Australia first up in the tournament will be challenge for the Kiwis. The Australia vs New Zealand match will start at 12:30 PM IST, on Saturday, October 22. The toss will take place 30 minutes before. The Australia vs New Zealand match in the T20 World Cup will take place at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney, New South Wales.
