IPL 2024 schedule was announced on Thursday February 22, exactly a month before the tournament begins. The dates were announced only for the first 21 matches, with the rest of the schedule to be announced in due course.
Bangalore base franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore will kick-start the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) with a match-up against arch-rivals, Chennai Super Kings on March 22nd at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Next match against CSK, RCB will play three back-to-back clashes at home starting off with the Punjab Kings (March 25th), followed by the Kolkata Knight Riders (March 29th) and the Lucknow Super Giants (April 2nd). RCB will begin its campaign against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 22 at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The 17th season will kick off with defending champions and five-time winners Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on Friday. The first weekend will feature two double headers, beginning with the Punjab Kings hosting the Delhi Capitals on Saturday afternoon, followed by the Kolkata Knight Riders hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the evening.
On Sunday afternoon (March 24th), the action will shift to Jaipur, where the home team Rajasthan Royals will face the Lucknow Super Giants. Sunday evening will witness the home team Gujarat Titans, the 2022 champions and finalists of the last season going head-to-head with five-time winners Mumbai Indians.
