RCB vs SRH: Top player out from today match in IPL 2022

Two of world cricket’s batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson’s woeful form will be in focus when Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad take on each other in a return IPL fixture here on Sunday. RCB vs SRH: Top player out from today match in IPL 2022.

SRH top player Washington Sundar’s recurring injuries have thrown a real spanner in SRH’s works in IPL 2022. In the absence of their premier spinner, the Orange Army have been without a powerplay enforcer and lower-order hitter.

The all-rounder would’ve been invaluable against his former side, and Williamson will have to make do with other inferior options if Sundar doesn’t make the grade. RCB’s bowling attack, on the other hand, is shaping up quite nicely. Although he’s been expensive, Wanindu Hasaranga has regularly picked up wickets.

So despite their comprehensive win in the first IPL 2022 meeting, SRH could start as the underdogs. If RCB can solve their powerplay batting woes and set up a solid platform for Glenn Maxwell to tee off, Du Plessis and Co. could rack up another two points against a depleted side.

Sunrisers Hyderabad looked solid with five wins on the bounce, but their campaign has lost steam with three consecutive losses. SRH’s bowling has been a concern in the recent games and despite having all bases covered, they have not gone the distance.

However, the biggest concern for the Hyderabad-based franchise has been the form of their captain Kane Williamson, who has just not been able to get going this season. It will be interesting to see if they try Rahul Tripathi as an opener. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram have been solid in the middle order and they would be even more effective if given a platform.
