Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made headlines last week when they announced their coaching staff for the IPL 2022 season. SRH had to fill many vacant positions, and they have done an excellent job by signing West Indies legend Brian Lara as their new batting coach and South Africa legend Dale Steyn as their new fast bowling coach. Former Chennai Super Kings player Hemang Badani has joined the squad as a fielding coach and a talent scout.

Meanwhile, former Australian all-rounder Simon Katich is the new assistant coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.  The head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 is Tom Moody. David Warner had a disastrous run for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2021. Starting the 14th edition as the Hyderabad skipper, Warner was slammed for his captaincy and below-par strike-rate with the bat before he was sacked as skipper, being replaced by Kane Williamson, and soon lost his spot in the playing XI.

According to reports, the IPL 2022 auction will be the final mega auction. As a result, it will be critical for all teams to create a solid core. Devdutt Padikkal has wowed fans with his outstanding performances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The southpaw was instrumental in RCB finishing in the top four on both occasions.

Many fans anticipated RCB to keep Padikkal for the IPL 2022 season, but the Bangalore-based team Royal Challengers Bangalore did not retain him. Sunrisers Hyderabad may explore signing him as a replacement for David Warner if he becomes available in the IPL 2022 auction pool. Padikkal is a left-handed opening batter like Warner who knows how to manage his innings.
