Just a few days left for the start of IPL 2023. But in between, it is said that a star player of Royal Challengers Bangalore team will play in IPL this time. IPL 2023 season schedule is already released. The 16th season of IPL will be held from March 31 to May 28. Four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will face defending champions Gujarat Titans in the first match.

Due to Corona, the last three seasons of IPL were limited to only a few places. While the 2020 season was held in the UAE, the first leg of 2021 was held in India and the second leg was held in the UAE. Although last season was held in India, the entire league stage was held in Mumbai. The qualifiers and finals were held in Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

The 16th season of IPL will be held in 12 places due to the reduction of Corona cases. That means 10 teams will play their home matches. The IPL is likely to get even more interesting in this sequence. Royal Challengers Bangalore has been playing in the IPL since its inception but have never been crowned champions. But this time the team is strong and is expected to win the cup.

But RCB will suffer a severe setback before this season. It is known that Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is representing RCB in IPL. He took 26 wickets in 16 matches last season. The purple cap holder was second in the list. But foreign players have to get NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their country’s cricket boards to play in IPL. But Sri Lanka Cricket Board is delaying in this matter.

In fact, RCB all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga had decided to play in the Pakistan Super League 2023 season. But the Sri Lankan governing body did not give him NOC to play in it. Sri Lanka will play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches against New Zealand in March. Also, Sri Lanka has a chance to reach the final in the World Test Championship.

Sri Lanka will have a chance if they win the Test series against the New Zealand 2-0. But at the same time, India whitewashed Australia 0-4 in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy Test series while Lanka will be knocked out. In this sequence, Wanindu Hasaranga was selected by Sri Lanka for the Test series.
