RCB injury tension: another player may miss IPL 2023 after Glenn Maxwell. Ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) season 16 things are not looking for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).  After Glenn Maxwell’s injury, Josh Hazlewood is set to miss a few matches due to recovering from Achilles injury.

The Australia pacer is also ruled out of the remaining two Test matches against India and has returned home for treatment. It is still not clear whether the RCB pacer will be fit in time to play the team’s first match against Mumbai Indians on April 2. Australia received a massive blow as Hazlewood is also ruled out of the three-match ODI series against India starting on March 17.

The right-arm pacer was initially only ruled out of the first Test against India. Managing Achilles became a big trouble for Hazlewood, and Australia decided to send him back. “Just a bit of workload management at the moment. Just managing the Achilles. I was bowling a fair bit leading into the tour at home and sort of just pushing up against it,” Hazlewood said.

“Probably wasn’t recovering as well as I would have liked between each session, so thought we’d give it a few days here straight off the bat and try and get over the hump and have a bowl from Tuesday on (in Nagpur) and hope it goes well.”
