Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) former player West Indies legend Chris Gayle, who has written colourful records in the Indian Premier League and is recognized as the favourite cricketer of Indian cricket fans, is away from active cricket. RCB former player Chris Gayle will entertain the fans again in this IPL mini auction. But this time, not as a player, but with a special responsibility, Gayle will appear again. After giving several swashbuckling performances in the Indian Premier League, Chris Gayle will be returning in a new avatar in the upcoming IPL auction.

The IPL veteran is expected to mark his return as an IPL analyst.  The streaming platform tweeted that it will broadcast the IPL 2023 Mini Auction on December 23. Gayle, a dashing West Indian batsman, is an IPL legend. He has played for three different teams in the league. He began his career with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

After three seasons with them, he moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and his final IPL squad was Punjab Kings, with whom he spent more than two seasons. Gayle appeared in 142 IPL matches, scoring 4965 runs with a strike rate of 148.96 and an average of 39.72. His greatest score is 175, which is the most in IPL history.

It happened against the Sahara Pune Warriors. Gayle has 405 fours and 357 sixes in the tournament thus far. The final IPL 2023 auction pool, which has been reduced from the original list of 991 players, was revealed by the IPL on Tuesday. There are 405 players on the final list.

Out of the 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are from other countries, including four from associate countries. There are 119 capped players, 282 uncapped players, and 4 players from associate countries. There are currently 87 places total, 30 of which are reserved for players from abroad.
