Pan India Masters Athletes: A 92-year-old Veteran Athlete won 2 gold medals in Australia

Mr.Palecanda Bopaiah, a 92 year old master athlete from pan India Master Games federation, has won 2 Gold medals in the 100M run and javelin throw in the age category of 90+ in the Australia masters International Athletics Championship which was held at Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney from 10th to 13th march 2023 in Australia.

Mr. Palecanda Bopaiah represented pan India Master Games Federation along with others veteran athletes from India to represent this event. His younger brother Mr.Palecanda Belliappa who won the Gold medal in 1500M walk and Bronze in 100M race in the age category of 75+.

Ms. Machamma,a 78-year-old veteran athlete from Kodugu won the silver medal in Javelin throw event .Dr. T.V Rao, Sr.Vice President and Mr.Nataraj , Secretary general of Pan India Masters have welcomed all the medal winner and honoured at the Airport today.

Results:

1. PP Bopaiah 90+ age category: Gold Medal in 100M Race and Gold medal in Javelin throw.

2. PP Belliappa 75+ age category: Gold medal in 1500M walk and Bronze in 100M race.

3. Ms. Machamma Ponnappa, 75+ category: silver medal in Javelin Throw.

4. Mr. Dadhibal Singh Chauhand, 55+ age category: Gold in 1500M walk, Gold in 5000M walk,and silver in Polevault.

5. Mr. Mohan Reddy, 30+ age Category: Gold in Long Jump and gold in Triple jump.

6. Mr. BC Krishna, 80+ age category: Silver medal in discuss throw, silver in hammer throw,and bronze in Javelin throw.
