T20 World Cup loss; Rest for Rahul Dravid , coaching responsibility for VVS Laxman

There will be a change in the team’s coaching staff and there is news that VVS will replace Rahul Dravid. However, it is important to note here that this change is only for one series. India’s journey in the ICC T20 World Cup  has come to an end. Team India had to face a crushing defeat against England at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. Out of T20 World Cup; Rest for Dravid team, coaching responsibility for Laxman.

With this, Rohit’s dream of winning the T20 World Cup for the second time has been shattered. Since then, the news is spreading that there will be changes in the T20 squad of Team India. In addition to this, there will be a change in the team’s coaching staff and there is news that VVS. Laxman will replace Rahul Dravid. However, it is important to note here that this change is only for one series.

After the T20 World Cup, they have to play a series against India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The Indian team will tour New Zealand this month, where they will play three T20Is and an ODI series. BCCI has already announced Team India for this.

Rest in peace Rahul and company

According to a report in the English newspaper Times of India, the coaching staff who have been with the team continuously since the Asia Cup will be given a break after the T20 World Cup. Thus head coach Rahul Dravid, bowling coach Paras Mahambre and batting coach Vikram Rathore were rested and replaced by V.V.S. It is reported that Laxman, Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting coach), Sairaj Bahule (bowling coach) will fill in.

Quoting BCCI sources, The Times of India in its report said, “The support staff – head coach Rahul Dravid, bowling coach Paras, batting coach Vikram, who is in the ongoing T20 World Cup, will return home after the tournament and will rest for a few days. After that, all of them will go on a tour to Bangladesh. Also, Rishikesh and Bahule have joined Laxman for these vacant seats.

Laxman was already given this responsibility

However, this is not the first time that Laxman, Rishikesh and Bahule are being sent with Team India. Earlier these three have worked with the team. Laxman Teeing was given the responsibility of the team for the first time during the tour of Ireland. After this, he accompanied the Indian team on a tour of Zimbabwe ahead of the Asia Cup. The same team was with Team India in the home ODI series with South Africa. The three currently work at the National Cricket Academy, while Laxman heads the NCA.
