India registered 1st Test win over Eng at Oval after 50 yrs: See PM Modi and Ganguly reacted in Twitter

India crushed England by 157 runs to win the fourth Test at The Oval on Monday and take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. India needed 10 wickets for the win on the final day and their bowlers delivered.

Everyone chipped in with a few wickets as they bundled out England for 210 in their second innings Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spin wizard Ravindra Jadeja sparked a shocking England batting collapse on the final day of the Oval Test match.

Riding on Rohit Sharma’s memorable century and Shardul Thakur’s twin fifties, Team India managed to set a match-winning total before Bumrah and Jadeja wreaked havoc on the final day of the Oval Test. With India registering its first win over England at The Oval after 50 years, a host of sports celebrities and well-known personalities took to Twitter to shower praise on the Kohli-led side.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a special tweet to hail the Kohli-led side on social media. “Great day (again) on the vaccination front and on the cricket pitch. As always, #TeamIndia wins!,” PM Modi tweeted.

Legendary opener Virender Sehwag and former cricketer Wasim Jaffer shared hilarious memes to celebrate India’s historic win over England at The Oval. Leading cricket fraternity in wishing Team India on social media, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, and Test specialist VVS Laxman lauded the Kohli-led side for putting up a show at The Oval.
