Mumbai Indians Retained and Released players list for IPL 2023

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has requested that the 10 franchises submit their list of retained players by November 15 in order to kick off the process for the forthcoming mini-auction. The auction is anticipated to take place in the third week of December however, a date has not yet been set. Rohit Sharma lead Mumbai Indians Retained and Released players list for IPL 2023.

IPL 2022 mega auction saw 10 teams forming a squad comprising super talented cricketers from India and abroad. On average, each team has a pool of 25 players, in which a maximum of 8 foreign players can be accommodated. The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League witnessed the debutant Gujarat Titans lifting the trophy.

Mumbai Indians returned with a wooden spoon, having dominated the bottom position throughout the league stage. Right from the start of the tournament, MI struggled to find the right balance. Several changes were made, but everything went in vain as the franchise kept losing matches on the trot.

Rohit Sharma-spearheaded MI suffered eight harsh losses in the tournament, before registering their victory. However, during the second phase, Mumbai Indians did find their right playing XI, but it was too late for them to bounce back.
