MS Dhoni will join Team India T20 cricket team

Team India failed to reach the final in the recently held T20 World Cup. Also the poor performance of some players was widely criticized by cricket fans. Some reports says MS Dhoni will join Team India T20 cricket team.

Thus, it has come to know that BCCI is ready to take an important decision. It is said that Captain Cool 3 ICC Trophy winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has the distinction of being the greatest captain India has seen in ICC tournaments, is being considered as the director of the Indian T20 cricket team.

BCCI is thinking that the burden on the head coach Rahul Dravid will be reduced if appointed in this way, and if Mahendra Singh Dhoni is made the director, he is thinking that a strong team can be built for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

India suffered a humbling 10-wicket loss to England in the semifinals as the men in blue failed to bring home a T20 World Cup title once again. A lot of criticism followed, where experts and fans slammed India’s ‘old-school’ approach to T20 cricket.

There have been calls to split the coaches’ roles too and the issue could come up for discussion during the BCCI’s Apex Council meeting later this month. However, the BCCI could give him a bigger role with the squad in the shortest format as he could help them play the fearless brand of cricket needed for the modern-day T20 format.
