Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine announced the retirement

An emotional tweet: “It’s been four years since I represented the West Indies team. Today I am announcing my retirement from international cricket. I am lucky to represent the West Indies team.

I am thankful to the cricket board, our team’s coaching staff and my teammates. I am fortunate to represent my home team, Trinidad and Tobago, in domestic cricket. Thanks to everyone who has supported me in my career,” said Narine.

Kolkata Knight Riders 35-year-old Narine has played 65 ODIs, 51 T20Is and 6 Tests in his international career. He has taken a total of 165 wickets in all formats. Narine last represented the national team four years ago. He played a T20 match against India in 2019.

Narine, who bowled in this match, did not get a single wicket. Narine, who has said goodbye to international cricket, will play in domestic leagues as usual. Sunil Narine is recognized at the international level only because of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Narine, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, brought many victories to the team.
