The countdown to the start of Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season 17 has begun. Three players have already dropped out of the world's richest league, which will begin on March 22.

1 Mark Wood: Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mark Wood is out of IPL. Due to personal reasons, the England pacer has withdrawn from the IPL. So Shamar Joseph of West Indies player has been selected as his replacement player.

2 Gus Atkinson: England pacer Gus Atkinson was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in this IPL auction. Meanwhile, Atkinson also withdrew from the IPL due to work pressure. Thus, KKR selected Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera as a replacement player.

3 Mohammed Shami: Team India pacer Mohammed Shami will not be play for IPL this time. Shami, the leading bowler of Gujarat Titans, has undergone a surgery on his ankle. So he is also out of IPL. However, Gujarat Titans have not named a replacement.

4 Tom Curran: Tom Curran, the England all-rounder in the RCB team, is also doubtful to appear in the IPL this time. Curran is still not recovered from knee injury. So there is a possibility of withdrawing from IPL.
