Lucknow Super Giants Captain KL Rahul out from IPL 2024

Indian cricket team's star batsman Lucknow Super Giants Captain KL Rahul has been ruled out of the last three Tests of the ongoing series against England due to injury.

Indian cricket team’s star batsman and Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul has missed the last three Test matches due to injury in the ongoing series against England and according to Cricbuzz, he may miss the final match in Dharamsala.

The report said that Rahul has not fully recovered from the quadriceps injury he suffered in the first Test and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent him to London for expert opinion. Rahul was reportedly ’90 per cent’ to play the third Test but the team management and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) decided to re-evaluate the situation.

Rahul was named in the Indian squad for the final three matches of the series with the condition that his availability would depend on his recovery. With India already leading 3-1 in the five-match series, the selectors may give them more time to recover with the T20 World Cup in mind.

If he fail to recover within month then Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul is likely to drop out of Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). He is likely to be out of several matches of the IPL once the doctor prescribes more weeks of rest. KL Rahul, who is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, was out of the IPL tournament in the middle of the last IPL due to injury. Thus, Krunal Pandya led the team.

KL Rahul is said to be doubtful to play in IPL this time as well. Whether KL Rahul will participate in this IPL or not will be decided in the first week of March. Lucknow Super Giants team has performed well in the last two seasons.
