IPL 2023 star CSK Player Ruturaj Gaikwad will marry Indian cricketer

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Utkarsha Pawar. The CSK opener was named as one of the standby players in India’s squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final 2023. IPL 2023 star CSK Player Ruturaj Gaikwad will marry Indian cricketer.

But he informed the BCCI that he is set to tie the knot on June 3, thus making it difficult for him to join the Indian team before that.  It was a great season for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ruturaj Gaikwad. CSK openers put on 74 runs in a 6.2 in the team’s pursuit of 171 to win in 15 overs.

Personally too, Gaikwad had a great run in IPL 2023 and ended the tournament with 590 runs from 16 matches. The most satisfying fact though for Gaikwad would be that his contributions helped in the team winning yet another season of the IPL.

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Utkarsha Pawar. Notably, this was the very reason that the opening batter from Pune had informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he won’t be able to travel with the Indian team as a reserve player.

Consequently, Gaikwad was replaced by Yashasvi Jaiswal as a back-up opener who has already landed in the United Kingdom and looked in fine nick in his first Team India net session. Notably, the 26-year-old  Gaikwad is all set to tie the knot later this week (June 3) with Utkarsha Pawar.

A recent picture in which MS Dhoni posted with the couple after CSK’s IPL win had also surfaced on social media. Much like Ruturaj, Utkarsha is a cricketer who plies her trade for the Maharashtra women’s cricket team. The 24-year-old is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium fast bowler. She last played for Maharashtra in November 2021 against Punjab in a Senior Women’s ODI Trophy fixture.
