IPL 2022: CSK vs MI big changes in Playing XI

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians (MI) will play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday (21st April, 7:30 pm). IPL 2022: CSK vs MI big changes in Playing XI.

Rohit Sharma will lead the MI side while Ravindra Jadeja will be leading CSK in the exciting fixture of IPL 2022. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are two of the most successful teams in IPL history, however, this season has been nothing but a nightmare for the two teams.

MI is yet to get going on the points table, on the other hand, CSK has managed only a solitary win from 6 games so far. Both teams are in desperate need of a win. CSK is coming off a three-wicket defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans in a closely contested battle.

Batting first, CSK posted 169/5 on the back of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 73 off 48 and a 31-ball 46 by Ambati Rayudu. CSK had reduced the Hardik Pandya-less side to 48/4 in eight overs. However, they did not have answers to David Miller’s (94* off 51) and Rashid Khan’s (40 off 21) onslaught as they lost the game on the penultimate ball.

CSK is desperately missing the services of their most expensive buy of this season pacer Deepak Chahar. Deepak Chahar won’t be available for the entire IPL 2022 season due to a back injury and this news has dented CSK’s bowling attack for good. Ravindra Jadeja-led CSK needs to find a perfect combination in the bowling unit if they want to go deep in the tournament.
