India vs West Indies 1st ODI: India will face off against the West Indies in the first One Day International (ODI) clash of their ongoing international tour. The first ODI will be played tomorrow, July 27, at the Kensington Oval, Barbados. The match will start at 7:00 PM IST.

After a resounding victory in the Test series against the hosts, India is eager to maintain their winning momentum in the upcoming ODI and T20 series. Indian team won the first test match by an innings and 141 runs. Rohit Sharma’s team looked set for a victory in the second test match as well but rain played spoilsport and the match was eventually drawn.

India defeated the West Indies 1-0 in a two-match test series. India thrashed Windies by an inning and 141 runs in the first Test, and after a dominating start in the second test, the match was drawn as rain interrupted play on the last day of the match.

With some brilliant performances from Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, star batter Virat Kohli, and pacer Mohammed Siraj in the Test series, it would be an easy job for the Indian side to dominate the three-match ODI series with such an in-form squad. The Windies, on the other hand, have their own set of problems.

Star players like Jason Holder and Nicholas Pooran have not been included in the ODI squad and are a big miss for the Caribbean side. But with power hitters like Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, and Kyle Mayers, along with pacer Alzarri Joseph, the West Indies can put up a good fight against the Indian side.

The three-match ODI series will be followed by a five-match T20I series, which will start on August 3.
