India are set to take on Bangladesh in the 1st Test match at Chattogram. The main question ahead of the match is if Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan is fully fit and what combination will India choose for the game.India Vs Bangladesh; 1st Test; Predicted Playing 11.

India are set to take on Bangladesh in the 1st Test match of the 2-match series on Wednesday, 14 December. The result of the game is of much importance to India, who cannot afford to lose more matches in the World Test Championship, if they wish to make it to the finals of the competition in 2023.

The last edition’s finalists will be put to test by a staunch Bangladeshi side that have made their name in the recent times as home track bullies against nations who tour outside of Asia. Many nations have found it difficult to survive in the either flat or spinning tracks at Bangladesh, failing to secure a Test match win.

The test will be stern for India especially given they have just lost the ODI series against Liton Das’ men. India captain Rohit Sharma will not be available for the first Test match and KL Rahul will be captaining in his stead. Rahul has to find answers to multiple questions, starting with who will come to bat with him.

The ever reliant Shubman Gill is of course an option, but there is an outside chance lies with Abhimanyu Easwaran as well, who captained the India A side in Bangladesh and score two centuries in two First Class matches. On top of that Easwaran has played in Bangladesh’s domestic set-up earlier this year, that gives him a vast amount of experience.

While India are missing their captain and opener, they are still without the services of their vice-captain and bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. IN his stead, the likes of Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Jayadev Unadkat and Navdeep Saini are in the line to pick up at least two fast bowling places, but it will once again be a toss up after looking at the pitch ahead of the toss.

On Bangladesh’s side the squad is pretty much settled, however, scan reports are awaited for Shakib Al Hasa, who was hit by an Umran Malik Bouncer in the final ODI. If he does not play, Yasir Ali might be drafted into the side and Liton Das might captain the Test side as well.
