KL Rahul, who left Mumbai on Saturday, reached Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, on Sunday morning. After a few hours of rest, Team India players practiced at the Harare Sports Club ground in Harare. India will play a 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, the first match of which will be played on August 18 (Thursday) at the Harare Sports Club ground. Team India comeback series for ODI series captain Rahul against Zimbabwe. After the last IPL, KL Rahul has not played any international matches. Rahul missed the 5-match T20 series against South Africa, 2-match T20 series against Ireland, Test match against England, 3-match ODI and T20 series against England and 5-match T20 series against West Indies in the last three months due to injury and Covid-19.

Rahul will make a comeback to international cricket through the series against Zimbabwe, and then will play in the Asia Cup tournament to be held in Dubai.

Head of National Cricket Academy VVS Laxman has shouldered the responsibility of coaching the Indian team in the ODI series against Zimbabwe. Laxman will act as Team India coach in Zimbabwe as permanent coach Rahul Dravid wants to rest.
