IND vs WI 2nd ODI: KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal enter, toss at 1 PM

Rohit Sharma first assignment as regular captain turned out to be a spectacular outing for Team India as the hosts humbled Kieron Pollard and company by 6 wickets. IND vs WI 2nd ODI: KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal enter, toss at 1 PM. Vice-captain KL Rahul and opener Mayank Agarwal joined Team India camp in Ahmedabad on Monday, days ahead of the 2nd ODI against the West Indies.

Rahul, Mayank and Saini were seen training at the Narendra Modi Stadium as India began preparation for the IND vs WI 2nd ODI, which will be played on Wednesday. The pitch in the last game was assisting spin and there might be room for another spinner in the Windies playing XI. Focus on returning KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal as we await the toss at 1 PM.

India were clinical and they were ruthless and that is why they find themselves with a golden chance of taking an unassailable lead in the three-match ODI series against Kieron Pollard-led West Indies. The only change in the IND vs WI 2nd ODI playing XI is most likely to be the return of vice-captain KL Rahul, who may replace Ishan Kishan at the top. Other than that, the side looks more or less settled.

If Mayank Agarwal enter team Rahul does bat in the middle-order then it will mean debutant Deepak Hooda who made a valuable contribution to India’s six-wicket win a couple of days ago, will have to make way. On the other hand, India might not look to make any changes in the squad because “why fix something which is not broken.”

The bowlers, particularly Yuzvendra Chahal in the middle overs was outstanding and earned “Player of the match” award rightly in the 1st ODI IND vs WI . Apart from a flurry of wickets which fell in the middle phase, there is nothing much to worry about. Virat Kohli, who was out cheaply in the previous game, will look to make impact with the bat. Captain Rohit showed his prowess with the bat through a quick 50 in the 1st ODI.
