Rohit’s thumb, which was injured during the second ODI of the Bangladesh tour, has not fully recovered. Therefore, after the first test, he will be unavailable for the second test match. Considering the important series ahead of the Indian team, the BCCI selection committee and the team management have planned not to play him at this stage.

Rohit Sharma, who is currently in Mumbai, has been successful in batting through Tests but there are reportedly concerns about the dangers of fielding. With Navdeep Saini also ruled out of the second Test due to an abdominal muscle strain, the fast bowler will now report to the SCA for further management of his injury.

Indian star players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are already undergoing treatment for injuries. The second Test match between India and Bangladesh will be played from December 22 to December 26. It is held at Sher Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. As per Indian time, the match will start at 9 am.
