Jaydev Unadkat is the first player to retire from Test cricket after this Test series. Unadkat, who got an opportunity 10 years after his debut in Test cricket, has played only two matches so far. Ravichandran Ashwin in Test cricket. There is no doubt that Ashwin is still a dangerous spinner. He has the ability to contribute in the batting as well if needed. But, Ashwin is now 36 years old. Also, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel are in the team to fill Ashwin’s place.

Umesh Yadav is another cricketer who can say goodbye to Test cricket after the India-Australia series. He was dropped from the team last year. However, due to his good performance in the county championship, he was again selected for the team.

Team India already has pacers like Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur. So it is doubtful that Umesh will get a place in the team in the coming days. This can be announced as retirement.
