IND vs AUS: Rohit sharma and Four more Indian player placed in isolation as a precaution after a breach

Five India cricketers, including vice-captain Rohit Sharma, have been placed in isolation as a precautionary measure following an alleged breach of biosecurity bubble in Melbourne on the New Year’s Day.

Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed on Saturday that five Indian players, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, and Navdeep Saini have been put in isolation as a precautionary measure after they all were seen eating at an indoor venue in Melbourne on New Year`s Day.

The CA in a release said: “The BCCI and CA are investigating the matter and seeking to determine whether the outing constitutes a breach of biosecurity protocols.

“In the interim, on the advice of the Australian and Indian medical teams, the aforementioned players have been placed in isolation as a precaution. This will include separating the group of players from the broader Indian and Australian squads when traveling and at the training venue.
