ICC T20 Ranking: New T20 Ranking Announced; Suryakumar overtook Rizwan to become No.1

Team India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has occupied the No.1 position in the new T20 rankings released by the ICC. Surya, who has scored two consecutive fifties in the T20 World Cup, has succeeded in overtaking Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, who was ranked first. In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Surya scored 68 runs against South Africa and became the highest run scorer for the team. Suryakumar Yadav, who can be said to be the best T20 batsman in the world at the moment, has taken the No.1 position in the ICC T20 rankings released on Wednesday. Suriya, who is making a splash in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, has scored 15, 51* and 68 runs in the 3 matches played so far in the tournament.

Yadav’s 51 not out in just 25 balls in the match against Netherlands in Sydney and 68 runs in 40 balls in the match against South Africa in Perth have managed to overtake New Zealand’s Devon Conway and Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan.

New Zealand batsman Glenn Phillips has also moved up the rankings, occupying a career-best seventh position thanks to his 104 against Sri Lanka and 62 against England. Also, South Africa batsman Riley Rosso, who scored 109 runs against Bangladesh, has also entered the top 10. Rosso managed to move up 17 places to a career-best eighth.
