New Delhi: The court has directed the estranged wife Ayesha Mukherjee not to broadcast defamatory content on any other platforms including social media in connection with any allegation or dispute against Dhawan. A family court in Delhi’s Patiala House has told his estranged wife, Australian national Ayesha Mukherjee, not to make any statement that could harm the reputation of Team India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. Shikhar Dhawan’s estranged wife Ayesha Mukherjee is threatening to ruin his career. Dheeraj Malhotra, the owner of IPL franchise ‘Delhi Capitals’ has sent some strong messages against me. He filed an application in the court alleging that he did this to harm my reputation. The court hearing the petition said that Ayesha has been restrained till further orders from publishing defamatory and false content on any other platforms including social media in connection with any allegation or controversy against Dhawan.
Dhawan and Ayesha got divorced in September 2021. Aisha revealed the divorce through social media. Both have a son. He is currently in Australia with Ayesha. Even after the divorce, Dhawan had made an agreement to allow him to meet his son. As such, Dhawan went to Australia many times to meet his son.
A family court in New Delhi has recently ordered Asha Mukherjee, his estranged wife of cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, not to publish in newspaper or social media or share any disparaging material against cricketer Shikhar Dhawan or anything that tarnishes his reputation with friends, relatives or anyone else.
Patiala House Court Judge Harish Kumar said that Asha, who is an Australian citizen, should make her allegations only before the concerned authorities in India and Australia. This restriction will remain in force until further order of the court.
“A person’s dignity is cherished by all and considered as the highest asset. Because physical property can be regained after loss but reputation cannot be regained once it is damaged. So it needs to be protected. “But if anyone has a complaint against another, he or she cannot be prevented from reporting the complaint to the concerned authority,” the judge said in the order issued on February 1.
The wife is sharing defamatory information against her with her friends, cricket organization officials and the IPL Delhi Capitals team. Dhawan also complained that they are threatening to publish them on social media. Shikhar and Asha have only one child who is a minor and lives with his mother in Australia.
