Bengaluru: Davangere Express R. Vinay Kumar who has won Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Irani Cup twice for the state, has been appointed as bowling coach of MI Emirates team. Former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond has been appointed as the head coach of the Mumbai Indians franchise MI Emirates who will play in the United Arab Emirates International T20 (UAE’s ILT20). Another former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel has been appointed as MI Emirates batting coach. James Franklin, another former pacer of New Zealand, has been given the title of fielding coach. Former Indian all-rounder Robin Singh has been appointed as MI Emirates’ General Manager of Cricket. The inaugural edition of the UAE ILT T20 tournament will be held in January and February next year.
