In an unfortunate development, Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Harshal Patel has left the team’s bio-bubble following the death of family member. Harshal got to know about the tragedy following RCB’s seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians on Saturday (April 9).

Subsequently, he left the team’s bio-bubble to join his family. The pacer is expected to join the Faf du Plessis-led team in sometime. Harshal Patel took two wickets and conceded just 23 runs from his four overs. Harshal has become one of the best fast bowlers in the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, RCB have won three games in IPL 2022 and are third in the points table. Royal Challengers Bangalore outplayed Mumbai Indians in their previous match. Batting first, MI posted 151-6 on the scoreboard. Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan hit 26 runs each.

Later, Suryakumar Yadav scored unbeaten 68 runs to take MI to a fighting total. RCB’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel picked 2 wickets each while Akash Deep picked 1 wicket. RCB managed to chase the target quite comfortably. Faf du Plessis got out for 16 runs. Anuj Rawat slammed 66 runs while Virat Kohli added 48 runs.
