Mumbai: Captain cool Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday.
As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Dhoni was fined ₹12 lakh. It was a disappointing day for CSK as they lost the match by seven wickets to start their IPL 2021 campaign with a defeat.
After suffering a massive defeat against DC, Chennai Super Kings skipper Dhoni said the execution of his bowlers was poor. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw delivered magnificent performances as they powered DC to a commanding win over CSK in the Indian Premier League at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
