Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Moeen Ali has suffered an ankle injury during a training session.   Moeen Ali is the third Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player to suffer an injury in the 15th edition of the tournament as the franchise has already lost two key pacers to injuries this season.

CSK’s Rs 14 crore buy Deepak Chahar suffered an injury before the tournament and he has been ruled out of the entire IPL 2022. Also, New Zealand pacer Adam Milne suffered an injury in the first game and he has been ruled out of the tournament as well.

Meanwhile, Moeen Ali, who was one of the 4 players retained by Chennai Super Kings, has struggled to perform well in the IPL 2022. So far, Moeen has played 5 games for Chennai Super Kings and has scored just 87 runs at an average of 17.40 also with the ball he has gone wicketless as in eight overs, he has conceded 68 runs.

According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, all-rounder Moeen Ali had hurt his ankle during a training session. The report further added that the batting all-rounder is in danger of missing a few games for CSK in the Indian Premier League 2022.

Meanwhile, Moeen Ali last played a game for Chennai Super Kings on April 17 against Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) before getting dropped from the playing XI in the match against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI).
