On the other hand, ahead of the next season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Royal Challengers Bangalore has changed its head coach. Australian Luke Williams will join Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as head coach ahead of the second season of the Women’s Premier League.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Williams has been appointed as the new coach, replacing New Zealand’s Ben Sawyer. In the first season of Women’s Premier League, the RCB team played under the leadership of Smriti Mandhana. Despite the presence of star players like Australia’s Ellis Perry, New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and England’s Heather Knight, RCB finished fourth in the five-team competition. RCB managed to register only two wins in eight matches.
