Amrapali Group case: Supreme Court sends notice to MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian team, has received a notice from the Supreme Court. This notice has been given in the Amrapali case. The order of mediation was given by the Delhi High Court only on Dhoni’s application. Let us tell you that he was once the brand ambassador of Amrapali Group. However, in the year 2016, he separated himself from the Amrapali Group. He filed an application in the Supreme Court and sought his fee of Rs 40 crore.

Let us tell you that the receiver appointed by the Court has sent notices to 1800 people including Dhoni who have bought houses in different projects of Amrapali Group. All these were instructed to deposit the money within 15 days. Dhoni had petitioned the Delhi High Court that Amrapali had not paid his fees. He demanded arbitration in the High Court in this matter.

Now the Supreme Court has given notice to Dhoni in this matter. After former captain petition, the Amrapali Group went to the Supreme Court. In the same case, the Supreme Court has sent a notice to Dhoni. Along with this, the arbitration proceedings have also been stayed. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, it has been said on behalf of the victims that people are not getting flats due to lack of funds, on the other hand, Dhoni has taken the matter to the mediation committee, demanding Rs 150 crore.

If the arbitration committee rules in Dhoni’s favor in this matter, Amrapali will have to pay Rs 150 crore, which will make it difficult for flat buyers to get flats. He also filed an application in the Court and demanded to get his fee of Rs 40 crore.
