Lok Sabha Election 2024: Congress high command call Jagadish Shettar to Delhi

Congress has come to power by winning 135 seats in Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023. Congress is now gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024. This time it aims to win 10 to 15 seats out of total 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. So all preparations are being made right away. Now the high command is also gearing up the state leaders for the elections. The high command has asked the top leaders of the state Congress to come to Delhi tomorrow to discuss the strategy in this regard.

Many leaders including CM Siddaramaiah, DCM DK Shivakumar are going to Delhi tomorrow (August 02). A meeting will be held under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjuna Kharge. The fact that the former CM Jagadish Shettar has been invited to this meeting has aroused great interest.

Former CM Jagdish Shettar has also get call from High Command, so he will leave Hubli for New Delhi today. In response to this, I received a call from the AICC office three or four days ago. So I left for Delhi today. He clarified that this is a pre-arranged meeting.

The senior officials of the centre have arranged a meeting and the situation of the state will be discussed. Leaders will discuss about the state, not about a constituency. The meeting has been called in view of the next Lok Sabha elections and organization. After the government comes, there will be a discussion about the organization and development of the party Shettar said to media.

The Congress high command has decided to make adequate use of Jagdish Shettar, a prominent leader of the Veerashaiva Lingayat community, who left the BJP and joined the Congress I last assembly election. Thus, even though he lost the assembly elections, he was appointed as a member of the Legislative Council.

Along with this, the Congress high command has planned to use Shettar’s charisma in the next Lok Sabha elections. Thus it is known that an invitation has been given for this important meeting. They are thinking of fielding Jagdish Shettar in the next Lok Sabha elections. It is said that there has been a discussion whether to contest from Belagavi constituency or to stand against Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in Hubli-Dharwad.
