Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: Siddaramaiah officially announced his constituency

Congress Legislature Party Leader Siddaramaiah ended the speculations on Monday and announced that he would contest the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections from the Kolar constituency. In a mega rally held by Congress, Siddaramaiah took the stage and made the announcement in the presence of veteran party leader KH Muniyappa and Srinivaspur MLA Ramesh Kumar. In the last assembly elections of 2018, he had sacrificed Varuna constituency for his son and contested from Chamundeshwari and Badami constituency and lost in Chamundeshwari constituency. Siddaramaiah has said that he will not contest even from the Badami constituency, which he holds hands with. Siddaramaiah, who is currently heading towards Kolar, has indirectly said that he will contest from there this time

Your love and admiration cannot be ignored. I decided to contest from Kolar and said I would be ready from Kolar if the High Command indicated. It was more or less certain that Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah would contest from one of the constituencies in Kolar district in the upcoming assembly elections. Talking about this today (Jan. 9) at the Kolar Congress convention, Siddaramaiah said, I cannot despise your love and admiration. I have decided to contest from Kolar and am ready to contest from Kolar if the High Command instructs.
